Annie Haak jewellery: the original stacking brand
There are brands you discover and brands you come back to. Annie Haak tends to be the latter. Once you start wearing the pieces, you add another, then another, and before long you have a wrist stack that feels entirely your own. That’s not an accident - it’s exactly what the brand was designed to do.
The story behind the brand
Annie Haak launched in 2009, and the origin of the brand is one of those stories that explains everything about how the jewellery feels. Her husband Johnie was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Bali, and it was while keeping watch over him that the idea of a guardian angel became a powerful, personal symbol.
That experience led directly to the brand’s most iconic piece: the My Guardian Angel charm. A chance encounter with a taxi driver on the same trip introduced Annie to a local silversmith who could bring her designs to life, and Annie Haak Designs was born.
Annie Haak was among the first to design collections where multiple bracelets were created specifically to be worn together, helping to establish stacking as the mainstream way of wearing jewellery it is today.
What makes Annie Haak different
The pieces are handcrafted in 925 sterling silver, with gold-plated silver options across many collections. Semi-precious stones and crystals feature throughout, and the designs draw on a mix of modern British style and Balinese craft. But what sets Annie Haak apart more than any of that is the meaning behind the pieces.
Each design carries a sentiment: protection, love, hope, family, friendship. The My Guardian Angel charm is the most recognised, but the same thread runs through everything the brand makes. This is jewellery designed to feel personal, to mark something, to mean something beyond just looking good. That’s why it gifts so well, and why people wear it for years rather than seasons.
The collections
The range at Niche spans bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces, with bracelets at the heart of the brand.
Santeenie is the entry point for most people: a classic sterling silver bead stretch bracelet with a single charm. The Santeenie comes in a wide range of charm options including feather, heart, guardian angel, tree of life, flower and mum, and vintage heart, which makes it one of the easiest gifts to personalise. Most Santeenie bracelets sit between £68 and £75.
Mini Orchid steps up in weight and presence. Larger sterling silver beads with the same charm options, and a slightly more substantial look on the wrist. Charms like the solid heart, Fabulous Mum and Fabulous daughter are among the most popular. From £78 in silver, from £110 in gold.
Joy introduces crystal into the mix: bracelets and rings in sterling silver with sparkling Swarovski crystal beads in a range of colours including violet, lime and clear. The Joy Crystal Silver Bracelet is a favourite for anyone who wants a bit more colour in their stack.
Gotri is the most architectural end of the range. Sterling silver bobble beads in a denser, heavier construction that gives a more substantial presence on the wrist. The Gotri Mixed Metal Bracelet, combining silver and gold-plated bobbles, is a strong choice for anyone building a more varied stack. Prices here start from £195.
Rings follow the same design language as the bracelets: stretch fit, sterling silver, with charm and crystal options across Santeenie, Joy and Mirage Blossom styles. From £30, they stack beautifully across multiple fingers or sit well alongside other silver rings.
Earrings carry the same sensibility as the bracelets: silver and gold hoops, including the Papillon butterfly hoops, and the My Guardian Angel hoops in both silver and gold. From £48.
Stacks take the guesswork out of building a look. The Hearts of Love Stack and Love Stack are ready-made combinations that come presented together, starting from £98 in silver and £175 for a more layered stack. For anyone buying as a gift who doesn’t want to choose individual pieces, these are the place to start.
Building a stack
One of the genuine pleasures of Annie Haak is that there’s no wrong way to build a wrist stack. The bead sizes across the ranges are designed to sit well together, so mixing a Santeenie with a Mini Orchid with a Joy crystal piece works naturally without any overthinking.
A simple starting point: one Santeenie with a charm that means something, one Joy crystal in a colour you like, and a plain silver bead bracelet as the anchor. Three bracelets, total flexibility to add more later.
Annie Haak also works well alongside other sterling silver jewellery. Kit Heath pieces sit naturally alongside Annie's pieces on the wrist, and Boho Betty stretch bracelets add colour and texture to any stack. For more on building a wrist stack, our guide to layering jewellery covers the basics.
Annie Haak as a gift
It’s hard to think of a more versatile gift brand. The Santeenie bracelet is personal enough to feel considered, flexible enough to suit almost anyone, and presented in Annie Haak’s branded box that needs nothing added to it.
The My Guardian Angel charm is the most gifted piece, and for good reason: the story behind it gives the gift a meaning that goes beyond the jewellery itself. The Fabulous Mum and Fabulous Daughter bracelets are strong choices for Mother’s Day and birthdays. For Christmas, the stacks are particularly popular because they feel like more than one gift in the box. Annie Haak also features in our jewellery Christmas gift guide if you’re looking for more ideas across different budgets.
As an authorised Annie Haak stockist, we carry a strong selection across the full range in store and online. If you’d like to see the pieces in person before buying, you’ll find us in Leigh-on-Sea.
